Prescriptions and Refills

We will prescribe medications appropriate for your endocrine problems during your office visits. We prefer not to refill prescriptions for medications prescribed by other physicians and we do not prescribe sedatives, tranquilizers, or narcotics.

Your prescriptions will always be for sufficient amounts of medications to last at least until your next scheduled visit. If, for some reason, your prescribed medication runs out, you may contact the office for a refill to last until your next visit.

Because of the volume of calls received on our prescription message line, messages left before 2:00pm will be completed the same day.  Calls received after 2:00pm may not be processed until the next business day.

Please have the prescription bottle and the pharmacy telephone number when you call. We will not prescribe unlimited refills on medications. Telephone prescription is a service we provide only to patients who see us regularly for their medical care.

If you miss a scheduled return appointment, we will phone in a prescription to last until you can come to the office for a follow-up appointment.
