Endocrinology Laboratory Services

Laboratory Service

At our in-house CLIA certified laboratory we are able to perform a wide variety of tests and have the results available within 30-45 minutes.

Under varying circumstances we will perform combination of the following tests to assess your diabetes treatment progress and your risk for related health issues.

When these tests are performed, your wait time may be increased depending on the number of lab tests being performed.

Hgb A1C Testing

Unlike the blood sugar tests done with a home testing kit that measures your blood sugar at a given time, the A1C test is an average of your blood sugar over the past 2 to 3 months. This glycated hemoglobin test helps us determine the effectiveness of your current treatment plan over a period of time.

Liver Function Test

Diabetes affects many areas of the body, including the liver. Most liver diseases cause only mild symptoms initially, but it is vital that these diseases are detected early. The Liver Function Test allows us to determine if any liver diseases are present.

Thyroid Testing

The thyroid is one of the largest endocrine glands in the body. The thyroid controls how quickly the body burns energy, makes proteins, and how sensitive the body should be to other hormones.

Kidney Function Test

The two most common causes of kidney disease are diabetes and high blood pressure. Kidney Function Tests are run to diagnose any problems that may have occurred due to your diabetes.

Lipid Test

A Lipid Test is performed to assess your risk for the development of coronary artery disease which can be triggered by high triglyceride and cholesterol levels that can be caused by diabetes.
