Cindy Miers, RN

Cindy Miers is a Registered Nurse and works as a diabetes educator at KDEC. Previously, Cindy was a diabetes educator at the Diabetes Treatment Center in Saint Joseph Hospital. While at Saint Joseph Hospital, she worked with open heart surgery patients in the Cardiothoracic Unit. Prior to working at Saint Joseph Hospital, Cindy worked in the Department of Endocrinology and the Surgical Trauma Unit at University Health Services. Cindy has worked at KDEC since August of 2005.

Kim Ashcraft, RN, CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator)

Kimberly Ashcraft obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University and is credentialed as an Diabetes Educator with the American Diabetes Association. Kimberly came to KDEC from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Central Baptist Hospital.

Steve Ranft, RD (Registered Dietitian), LD, MS, CDE

Stephen Ranft has experience as a Clinical Nutritionist at the Bourbon County Health Department, a Clinical Dietitian at the Baptist Regional Medical Center. Mr. Ranft has been a diabetes educator here at KDEC since 1995. His medical degrees include an M.S. in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Kentucky and he is a Registered Dietitian.
